More than 120 Green Valley Country Club members attended the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish Community Day on June 8. For decades, this annual event at the Green Valley Country Club has convened the Jewish community to raise vital funds for the Jewish Federation to make the world a better place for generations to come.
Filled with socializing, dinner and drinks, the evening featured former professional baseball player and Philadelphia Jewish Sports Hall of Fame inductee Ruben Amaro, Jr. During a facilitated conversation with Green Valley Country Club President and event chair Jonathan Wolfe, Amaro discussed his unique and strong Cuban Mexican, Jewish-American heritage.
