Jessie (nee Payer) and Antonio Reckner Alfaro of Upper Black Eddy announce the birth of their son, Elijah Samuel, on Jan. 8.

Sharing in their happiness are big brothers Raphael Josef and Ephraim Alexander; paternal grandparents Elsa and Harry Reckner; and maternal grandparents Barbara Murray and John Payer.

Joining in welcoming the baby are aunts Christine, Amy, Ana, Malena, Rita, Alicia and Lotus; along with uncles Todd, Rick, Carlos, Ed, Mike and Michael.

Elijah Samuel is named in loving memory of Richard Wurmbrand and in honor of friend and mentor, Samuel Lehrer.
