On Wednesday, Nov. 4, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Women of Vision Foundation will host its annual Fall Event.
On Wednesday, Nov. 4, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Women of Vision Foundation will host its annual Fall Event. This year’s program will feature a cocktail reception followed by a special screening of the award-winning documentary Brave Miss World. The film follows the story of how Israeli model Linor Abargil went from being a teenage rape victim to becoming Miss World and an empowered lawyer and activist in the fight against sexual violence. Brave Miss World is “a thought-provoking film that will touch both your heart and mind,” says Jewish Federation Senior Endowment Officer Susan Lundy.
After the screening, there will be a discussion and Q&A session with the film’s director, Cecilia Peck, and a rape crisis professional.
The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Gratz College in Melrose Park. The cost is $45 per person or $10 for students with proper ID. For more information or to register, visit jewishphilly.org/fallevent.
Women of Vision is dedicated to improving the lives of Jewish women and girls.
