Torah Dedicated at Drexel University The Raymond G. Perelman Center for Jewish Life at Drexel University played host March 16 for the Fran and Leon L. Levy Torah dedication. The Torah will be for Drexel students to use on Shabbat and holidays at Drexel Hillel. They also inked the final letters.

The following day, more than 150 students, faculty and lay leaders celebrated Drexel’s 125th anniversary — including more than 90 years of Jewish life on campus — with a Shabbat dinner. It marked the first time Drexel President John Fry celebrated Shabbat at the new facility. Hillel student board president Max Kahn organized the event, with the dinner underwritten by the Stan and Arlene Ginsburg family.
