The weather may be cooling down, but for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish Federation Real Estate group (JFRE), things are heating up with three exciting upcoming fall events.
The group will kick off its 2015-2016 programming year on Wednesday, Oct. 28, with JFRE Goes Presidential. This event, chaired by Michael Markman and Jeremy Fogel, will feature an exclusive presentation on the history and development of Presidential City from Post Brothers developers Matthew Pestronk and Michael Pestronk. Participants will have the opportunity to tour the newly renovated apartments while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and cocktails served poolside.
The event is complimentary for JFRE members and $75 for non-members (after Oct. 21, the price will increase to $100). For more information or to register, visit jewishphilly.org/jfrepresidential.
On Thursday, Nov. 12, Women of JFRE will host its second event, U.S. Economic Outlook in a Time of Global Uncertainty, at the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia, featuring guest speaker Jay H. Bryson, Ph. D., Managing Director and Global Economist of Wells Fargo Securities, LLC and Wells Fargo & Company. Women of JFRE is a subgroup of JFRE, chaired by Marcy Hart, Esq., and Melissa G. Landay, and was created to engage women in the affinity group by hosting smaller women’s-only programming. Members of Jewish Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy and Women of Vision are also invited to attend.
The event is complimentary for JFRE members and $75 for non-members (after Nov. 5, the price will increase to $100). A dairy lunch will be provided; glatt kosher meals will be available upon advance request. For more information or to register, visit jewishphilly.org/jfrewomen.
Finally, the group’s fall schedule will conclude with the JFRE National Speaker Symposium on Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Hyatt at the Bellevue’s Rose Garden Ballroom in Philadelphia, featuring an intimate discussion with guest speaker Richard J. Mack, founder and CEO of Mack Real Estate Group. Mack is the former CEO and Managing Partner of AREA Property Partners and co-founder of Apollo Real Estate Advisors, LP before it was sold to Apes Management. He is also the chairman of the Real Estate Division of the UJA Federation of New York.
The cost of the event is $50 per person and includes a continental breakfast (dietary laws observed). This event is for JFRE members only. Membership in JFRE requires an annual minimum $1,000 gift to the JFRE Fund, Jewish Community Fund or a combination of the two.
