Tal Brody, star of the 1977 Maccabi Tel Aviv Euroleague Championship team, told the story about that team, then refereed in a 3-on-3 student tournament at Penn Hillel on Oct. 17. The event was co-sponsored by Jewish Graduate Student Network and the Jewish Association of MBAs. Brody was born in Trenton, N.J., then played for the University of Illinois before playing professionally in Israel and eventually moving there.
