Jaime A. Zucker of Bensalem has been named a 2015 Buck’s Happening Mover & Shaker. She has built Sugarlane Graphics, putting her background in Visual and Graphic Communications (Millersville University, BA) and Digital Design (Philadelphia University, Masters Level Classes) to work for corporate, social and lifestyle brands large and small. Her work with clients has led her to win American Inhouse Design Awards in 2008 & 2010.
Judy Brown, an Elkins Park resident and Keneseth Israel congregant and Adath Jeshurun employee, and her daughter, Jodi Silverman, have authored You’re on Your Own, Now What, a how-to-manual covering survival basics for young adults setting out to live on their own for the first time. It also serves as a journal for mothers, inviting them to personalize the guide by filling in their own advice and strategies regarding everything from health to cooking at college.
Philadelphia and New York resident Zahava Bar-Nir was named National President of the American Technion Society (ATS), becoming the first Israeli woman to take the reins. Bar-Nir has held many local, national and international leadership positions at the ATS and the Technion, including president of the Philadelphia Chapter. For her dedication, she has received both a Technion Honorary Fellowship and an Honorary Doctorate.
Jennifer Morgan, a 15-year veteran of education, nonprofit and social media organizations, has joined Eight Marketing as a senior associate. A former social studies and English teacher at Frankford Friends School and the Abington School District, Morgan has also held titles in many local organizations, including executive leadership for the Junior League of Philadelphia, Inc. (JLP) as its president. She was named JLP’s Leader of the Decade in 2013. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Temple Sholom in Broomall.
Communication Imaging conducted an open house at their main office in Conshohocken, which featured local professional speakers Susan Paul, Deborah Greenwald and Laura Evak. Paul, M.A., CCC/SLP, founder and owner of Communication Imaging, is a speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of experience working with adults and children. Greenwald, BCaBA and owner of Autism Associates, is a board-certified developmental behavior specialist with over 20 years experience. She gave the top reasons why most behaviors occur and how to remediate them for good. Evak, a speech-language pathologist, discussed social/pragmatic language in daily functioning.
