Michael E. Bertin was elected second vice chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, law firm Braverman Kaskey named Benjamin Garber one of its partners, and Ruth Lefton was appointed chief operating officer for Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia.

Family law expert Michael E. Bertin, a partner at Obermayer, Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, LLP, was elected second vice chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. A member of Congregation Or Ami in Lafayette Hill with an active family law practice, Bertin is a former chair of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association and a frequent author and lecturer on family law topics. He’s also a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Philadelphia law firm Braverman Kaskey named Benjamin Garber, previously singled out as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2015 and 2016, as one of its partners. A former judicial law clerk to the Honorable Anne E. Lazarus of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and Rutgers University School of Law, Garber’s been active within the Har Zion Temple community in Penn Valley. He also supports the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society.
Ruth Lefton, who’s been part of Einstein Healthcare Network for more than 20 years, was appointed chief operating officer for Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia. For the past 14 years, she’s served as COO for MossRehab in Elkins Park, Einstein’s provider for inpatient and outpatient programs, and Willowcrest, a short-term rehabilitation and nursing facility. The former chair of the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania Medical Rehab Division is a member of Beth Sholom Congregation in Elkins Park and a member of Hadassah.
