Roberta D. Liebenberg has been named to the board of directors of the American Antitrust Institute, a national research, education and advocacy organization. A partner at Fine, Kaplan and Black in Philadelphia, her legal expertise has focused on antitrust and complex commercial litigation and class actions. The AAI’s mission is to advance the role of competition in the economy, sustain the vitality of the antitrust laws, and protect consumers.
Veteran Pennsylvania tax attorney Stewart L. Weintrib, a shareholder of the national firm Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry, has co-authored updates to the 2016 edition of the Pennsylvania Tax Handbook. With 40 years specializing in both local and state taxation, Weintrib has assumed several positions throughout his career, including serving as chief counsel of former Philadelphia Mayor William Green’s Tax Reform Commission.

Michele Sacks Fenkel has been elected shareholder for the Center City firm Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University Law Center, Fenkel was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York prior to joining HASPS. While focusing on corporate and securities matters, she’s served as counsel for both public and private companies as well as executives on issues like mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, and intellectual and employment property matters.
Congregation Ohev Sholom’s United Synagogue Youth chapter received an award for Excellence in Religious Education at the 65th International USY convention in Baltimore. In addition, Aliza Bromberg Gaber, of Newtown, and Philadelphian Mia Stein were inducted into the Abraham Joshua Heschel Honor Society for their strong commitment to the study of Torah, prayer and performance of G’milut Chasadim.
