Rabbi Lawrence Troster has joined Kesher Israel Congregation of West Chester as interim rabbi. He founded and coordinates Shomrei Breishit: Rabbis and Cantors For the Earth. He also serves as the Rabbinic Scholar-in-Residence of Green-Faith, the interfaith environmental coalition in New Jersey. He will carry out religious leadership and assist in the transition to a longterm rabbi for the synagogue.
Ben Ginsberg has joined AIM Academy as the Director of Institutional Advancement. Ginsberg most recently served as a consultant with The Lapin Group, a fundraising consulting firm serving domestic and international nonprofit organizations. Further, as the executive director of the Jenkintown Community Alliance, Ginsberg oversaw the management of Jenkintown’s Old York Road business corridor. He is also a member of the Boards of the Cheltenham Township Library System, Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel, and the Greater Philadelphia Pitt Club.
RSVP/Philadelphia Director Susan Aistrop announced the organization has received a federal grant of $90,000 to continue programs addressing childhood literacy, food insecurity and community needs in West Philadelphia.
