Ambler natives Bruce and Shelley Menkowitz played host to a showing of You Are What You Eat: Understanding Israel Through its Unique Cuisine. The event was held in conjunction with the 2016 Negev Forum, which brings together American associates of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in their 50s and early 60s. Nir Avieli, senior lecturer in BGU’s Department of Sociology and Anthropology, introduced the film. Maribeth and Steve Lerner served as co-hosts, as well as co-chairs for the evening, along with Roslyn and Chuck Epstein, Jodi and Sam Greenblatt, and Holly and Norm Nelson.
