Local entrepreneur Wayne Kimmel had his own role to play at the National Hillel Basketball Tournament, played at the University of Maryland.
It was for 40 college teams vying for top honors in the fifth annual National Hillel Basketball Tournament, held recently at the University of Maryland. Among the squads taking part: Men’s teams from Drexel University and Lehigh University as well as a women’s team representing Muhlenberg College. Those teams didn't provide the only Philly flavor to the tournament: Entrepreneur Wayne Kimmel, a U of Maryland alum, attended. Kimmel brought his own squad to the game: Here he's featured with wife Kimby and son Hunter, joined by students/tournament officials from the U of Maryland, including Joseph Tuchman (right).
