Letters to the Editor: July 9

Last Word: Emily Landsburg (July 2)

Thank you for the wonderful article on Emily Landsburg and her incredible leadership in helping to develop the Hebrew Free Loan Society of Greater Philadelphia’s five-year strategic plan. We are extremely fortunate to have Emily as a member of our HFL family.

Thank you also for bringing awareness to our organization and to our mission. HFL has been in Philadelphia for 42 years yet is unknown to a vast majority of the Philadelphia Jewish community, especially those for whom a no-fee, interest-free loan would be a lifeline.

As a 100% donor-funded organization, the strategic plan will allow us to double our outreach, provide larger loans and eliminate wait lists.

For anyone interested, we can be found at hflphilly.org.

The writer is president of the Hebrew Free Loan Society of Greater Philadelphia.
