Twenty-seven young Jewish leaders from Philadelphia, ranging from 27 to 40 years old, departed for Israel on July 1 as part of the Israel360 VIP Mission. This was the eighth cohort from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia to experience Israel on this program. After the group’s first day in Israel, the participants joined a larger Young Leadership group through Jewish Federations of North America, which was comprised of 100 delegates from all over the United States.

The group enjoyed an up-close-and-personal look at the amazing work orchestrated by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, as well as the Jewish Federations of North America. They traveled to Netivot, the partnership region of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Jerusalem, Golan Heights, Negev and Tel Aviv where they visited tourist sites like the Kotel, Masada, Dead Sea, Mediterranean Sea and the Golan Heights. Participants also volunteered and met with representatives from agencies whose work ranges from solving food insecurity and providing accessibility and support for the disabled communities, to providing much-needed assistance to at-risk youth and the Israeli-Ethiopian youth communities. They saw firsthand the impact of the money that the Jewish Federation raises and allocates throughout Israel.
