‘Keyboard Conversations’ Returns to Kimmel Center on April 22
Jeffrey Siegel returns to the Kimmel Center’s Perelman Theater on April 22 with a springtime concert entitled “Chopin in Paris!”
Siegel is in his 50th year of his Keyboard Conversation series. A year ago, his Philadelphia performance centered on the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth.
Keyboard Conversations are concerts with a twist. Instead of simply playing classical music pieces, Siegel frequently interjects his own commentary. Before he plays a piece in full, he gives some brief background and plays a few excerpts out of context.

Israeli Olympic Judo Team Visits Penn
Members of Israel’s Olympic Judo team visited the University of Pennsylvania on April 11 to share stories of overcoming anti-Israel sentiment, perform Judo workshops and answer questions from the audience at the Hillel Auditorium.
Judo team members included Ori Sasson, Sagi Muki and Peter Palchick. Sasson made international headlines at the 2016 Olympics when his Egyptian opponent refused to shake his hand after a bout where the Israeli won the bronze medal.
The team has won medals in Arab countries since then and “Hatikvah,” the Israeli national anthem, was played at the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam in October 2018 after the team won a gold medal.

A forum to address the issues of hate and anti- Semitism in Delaware County is planned for 7 p.m. at Temple Sholom in Broomall, 55 Church Lane.
