Sh’ma – Hear Your Inner Voice: A Writing Course in 8 Sessions
November 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Sunday, repeating until January 16, 2022
Sundays, Nov. 21, 2021 – Jan. 16, 2022, 6-8 p.m.
Note: We will not meet on Nov. 28.
In this weekly course of eight, two-hour class sessions, we gather on Zoom for moments of ritual and writing, to harness our creative spirits, to seek our artistic voices and to let them speak out. For some of us, our voices can hide or be silent under the stresses of modern life and expectation. As we move through Chanuka to Tu B’Shvat, through this season of reflection, rekindling, and rebirth in the Hebrew year 5782, we will nurture our own voices, and each others’, and write to find what is inside ourselves — the sparks waiting to ignite, the seeds ready to bloom.
In each session: We will begin with a communal ritual and creative prompt, focused on the promise of this season of reflection and renewal, to help you hear your inner artistic voice and let it speak. We will reconvene, and those who wish to will share their work, and we will give each other supportive and useful feedback. We will then close with a ritual and look forward to hearing each other again the following week.
