Philadelphia World Refugee Day

June 20 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

From 5-7 p.m., join individuals from across Philadelphia to celebrate the strength and courage of those forced to flee their homes and their impact on the Philadelphia community at Philadelphia World Refugee Day.

The celebration will include two free events: performances from around the world at Mifflin Square Park in South Philly, and a recreational soccer tournament for kids and adults at Max Myers Rec Center in Northeast Philly. Both events will include art and fun for the whole family, as well as information tables and a walk-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic. The Mifflin Square Park event will be followed by a park clean up (sign up at signup.com/go/QMGeMxb).

Masking and other COVID-19 precautions will be observed. The event is presented by the Philadelphia Regional Refugee Providers’ Collaborative, Philadelphia Open Soccer, Al Bustan, the Sports Creative and the Office of Immigrant Affairs. The event is sponsored by International House and WSFS Bank.
