This four-week course led by Rav Shai Cherry will immerse people in the family, life, times, works and thought of Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon. The class will discuss the poetry-infused life of Andalusia, the medical clinic Maimon ran outside of Cairo along with the rabbi's commentary, code, philosophy, letters ending with a discussion on Maimon's son’s attraction to Sufi mysticism and how it was a precursor to post-Enlightenment Judaism.
