Circle the Courthouse to Honor RBG

October 2 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

All are welcome to join us as we mark the end of our period of mourning for Justice Ginsburg with a short prayer circle and a ritual walk around the federal courthouse in Philly.
Details:

Meet at Free Speech Square, a/k/a the People’s Plaza in Independence Mall, on the southwest corner of Market and Fifth streets (across the street from NMAJH).

For safety’s sake, wear a mask and maintain 6 feet of social distancing.

To celebrate the memory of RBG, consider wearing black as we will have lace collars to wear and signs to carry for anyone who wants them.

Prayer Circle: 1 p.m.: Rabbi Annie Lewis and Hazzan Jessi Roemer will inspire us to carry on RBG’s fight for justice.

Shiva Walk: Following our prayer circle, we will walk one short block to the northeast plaza of the U.S. Courthouse (Market and Sixth streets) and proceed counterclockwise on the walkway around the courthouse and adjacent William Green Federal Building — 1/2 mile.
