Celebration of the Life and Accomplishments of Carl Lutz

June 30 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

The Mid-Atlantic – Eurasia Business Council are delighted to invite you to a few events to recognize and celebrate the life and accomplishments of an often forgotten hero – Carl Lutz. His humanitarian action is considered the greatest civil rescue operation of Jews during the Holocaust. This time marks the 75th anniversary of Lutz’s great feat to save over 50,000 lives from the Holocaust during his tenure as vice consul at the Swiss Embassy in Budapest.

We will host a next virtual event on June 30 and in-person event on Nov. 10-11 honoring Lutz. For information, visit ma-rbc.org/Carl_Lutz.html

On June 30, we will showcase, through a variety of presentations, the life and legacy of Lutz. We will also host a discussion and sneak preview with the co-producers and co-directors of the film “Dangerous Diplomacy” and vote for several memorial sculptural proposals.
