Norman Weisbord, born in Philadelphia on June 11, 1924, died peacefully, under hospice care, at home in Toms River, NJ on August 10, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Gladys (Gotlieb), son Barry, daughter Ellen Weisbord (Andy Fair), five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Harriet. Norm was raised in West Oak Lane and was a member of Central High’s 176th class. He served in the Army signal corps in WWII in the South Pacific. After his discharge, he joined the family business, Plymouth, Inc. manufacturing stationery and later, school supplies. His favorite licenser was Charlie Schulz and his “Peanuts” characters. After his retirement, Norm worked with Barry in the thoroughbred horse industry. He was very active in his senior community, Greenbriar Woodlands, where he served as President of the Men’s Club and the Camera Club. He enjoyed golf, table tennis and art. HE was much loved and respected in his community and will be sadly missed. His interment was August 11, 2019 at Roosevelt Memorial PArk. Arrangements by D’Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood, NJ
