Benjamin Joseph Cohen was called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Nov. 16 at Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel in Philadelphia.
Benjamin is the son of Sherri and Daniel Cohen and brother of Jacob Cohen. His grandparents are Susan and Charles Shubin of Baltimore and Dorothy and Irving Cohen of Denville, New Jersey.
Benjamin is a seventh grader at Germantown Friends School as well as an Etgar camper at Ramah Day Camp. Benjamin’s Mitzvah project is with Hand In Hand, a nonprofit organization focused on building peace and equality in Israel through the creation of integrated schools for Arab and Jewish children.
