Roz Weis, founder and president of Rubye’s Kids, a nonprofit, volunteer-run agency that benefits children ages 6 to 8 from low income homes or homeless shelters in North Philadelphia, was featured at the National Council of Jewish Women’s luncheon at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel. The organization was named for Rubye Caesar, who began hosting a holiday party for 15 children in 1994. The organization has since evolved to include 500 children served by 300 volunteers.
