While most summer programs and camps have been canceled, that doesn’t mean teens can’t remain engaged and connect Jewishly with their peers. We rounded up four of the best online teen programs being offered by our partner organizations. From middle schoolers to high schoolers to college students, there’s something to keep everyone busy and productive during this unusual summer.

Jewish Teen College Road Trip
While in-person college tours may not be part of the plan this summer, this month-long program takes college-bound students and their parents on virtual tours of 33 colleges nationwide. Students and parents will also be part of formal information sessions led by college admissions directors, plus workshops on the college admission process, financial aid and how to write a “winning” college application essay. These sessions have a special focus on Jewish community, connecting teens and parents with Hillel staff.
Visit roadtriptocollege.org to learn more and to view the college tour calendar.

Israel Teen Tour 2020 with Gratz Academy

Missed out on an Israel trip this summer? Gratz Academy’s Israel Teen Tour is the perfect way to experience Israel from the comfort of your home. As part of this program, you will partake in tours of different regions of Israel twice a day for 10 days. For just $360 per participant, you’ll explore historic sites and hear from Israeli tech gurus, athletes and members of the intelligence community.

BBYO On Demand
With so much uncertainty this summer, you may find yourself with a little bit of extra time on your hands. If that’s the case, check out BBYO On Demand for free webinars, conversations, concerts, Shabbat services and other virtual events. Every Wednesday evening, young Jews of color can connect in a virtual hangout. Plus, seminars such as “6 Tips for a Successful School Year,” “How to Become a Master at Studying” and “8 Habits for College Success,” means there’s useful resources to check out for just about any high school student.

Tikvah Online Academy

Tikvah Online Academy is offering weekly online summer courses for students in seventh grade through college. This summer, subjects include American Zionism, Israeli politics, ancient Jewish thought and much more. These small, discussion-based seminars meet once per week for four weeks and are capped at 12 students per class. They are taught by leading professors, policy experts, journalists and religious leaders. If you’re looking to do something interesting and intellectual, consider signing up for one of Tikvah Online Academy’s courses.
