NextGen’s Leadership Development Program learned about community engagement on Jan. 7 from leaders at Jewish Relief Agency, JEVS Human Services, Focus and Makom Community, as well as a lesson on how to write a dvar Torah from Rabbi David Levin. 7. Addie Lewis Klein, director of community engagement at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, moderated the panel. Founding director of Makom Community Beverly Socher-Lerner hosted the session and guided the cohort through an experiential tour of the space.
