From Dec. 23 to Jan. 3, 42 22- to 26-year-olds from the Greater Philadelphia region and across the United States who had not yet been on a peer trip to Israel traveled with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia to the Jewish homeland.

By exploring Israel’s past, present and future, participants were able to more deeply connect with Israel as well as with our local Jewish community. Beyond visiting Israel’s most famous sites like the Western Wall and the Dead Sea, the group also volunteered at Latet, which distributes food to 60,000 Israeli families in need and 1,000 Holocaust survivors living in poverty every year, and visited the Jewish Federation’s partnership region of Netivot and Sdot Negev.
