On Sept. 17, more than 40 young women from the Women’s Philanthropy
affinity group of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia attended an
exclusive cooking class at Reading Terminal Market.
The sold-out crowd made matzah ball soup with chefs from Hershel’s Eastside Deli and had the chance to learn from Rabbanit Dasi Fruchter about the history of Jewish life in Center City and the significance of food in Jewish culture and tradition. The event committee members were Emily Berman, Karly Berman, Rachel Fishman, Tori Manis, Julie Mozes, and Rachel Rothbard Heller.
