American Jewish Committee Philadelphia hosted Pjer Šimunović, ambassador of Croatia to the United States, at an AJC Ambassador Speaker Series Marshall Society luncheon on June 7 at the Pyramid Club. Šimunović provided an insider’s perspective on the Jewish community’s history in Croatia, Croatia-Israel relations and the resurgence of anti-Semitism in cities throughout Europe.
