On June 6, hundreds of people descended on the Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill for the annual Jewish Community Day. In celebration of the country club’s 100th anniversary, families enjoyed a day of golf and other activities, followed by a dinner program with guest speakers, including Ernie Gross, a Holocaust survivor, and Donnie Greenbaum, an American who liberated Dachau. This year’s community day raised critical funds for the Jewish Federation’s Northeast NORC, which aids elderly people who wish to remain in their homes in Northeast Philadelphia.
