Esther Sternberg of Chabad’s Neshek campaign, which encourages Jewish women to light Shabbat candles, came to the Philadelphia area as a guest speaker for Emily Hare’s Bat Mitzvah project. The attendees ranged from families who were unaffiliated to Orthodox, and those who go to independent schools, as well as Perelman Jewish Day School and Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy.
