June Robbins (née Rocklin) celebrated her 92nd birthday Sept. 20 at Wesley Main Line in Media. She is the mother of seven, grandmother of 18 and great-grandmother of nine.
On Labor Day at the Liberty Bell, Robbins participated in international bell-ringing in honor of Rosie the Riveters. Robbins, who was a “Rosie” during World War II as a draftsman at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and a USO volunteer, is a member of the National Rosie the Riveter Association and “Thanks, Plain and Simple.”
She is active in the Senior Community Services Clowns and volunteers her time entertaining residents in the assisted living and dementia units at Wesley. She participated in the 2018 Delco Senior Games, where she won medals in each of her events.
