On August 19, Diller Teen Fellows welcomed its first alumni cohort. Seven extraordinary teens made up the first graduating cohort, comprised of students from across the Greater Philadelphia area, representing seven different synagogues and schools.
The teens engaged in a 12-month program that challenged them to explore Jewish peoplehood and pluralism while also diving deeply into their own Jewish identities. In addition, the fellows learned new skills on how to be an effective leader. The fellows were charged with planning and executing a Shabbaton and, in collaboration with our Israeli partner cohort, a full week of fun and learning in Herzliya.
The fellows just returned from a three-week intensive trip touring Israel and meeting all 600 Diller fellows from around the world. Be on the lookout for our newest Diller alumni, because they are ready and eager to lead our Jewish communities into the next generation.
