The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, together with Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership, embarked on the annual, week-long Israel360 VIP mission with 21 dedicated and motivated members of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish community. The July 2 to July 8 trip brought the group throughout Israel to Tel Aviv, the Golan Heights, Masada, the Dead Sea and Jerusalem. The group visited several of the organizations and programs that Jewish Federation supports and viewed the many religious, historical and cultural icons that shape the state of Israel. The trip culminated with a visit to Netivot, Jewish Federation’s partner region that borders the Gaza Strip and is subject to regular attack. While there, the group participated in a security tour of Sdot Negev, had lunch with members of Kibbutz Alumim, enjoyed an introduction to the Kaiserman Ethiopian spiritual center and visited Netivot’s replica of the Liberty Bell.
