Hummusology, an authentic kosher hummusiya in the Washington Square West neighborhood of Philadelphia, is now offering a traditional Israeli-style prix fixe weekend brunch for two. The menu, reasonably priced at $27, includes:
- Shakshuka: two eggs poached in a flavorful tomato sauce,
- Bureka: flaky pastry filled with a choice of cheese or potato
- Signature hummus: choice of classic, vegetable, mushroom, or fava and hard boiled egg.
- Two house-made pitas
- Two Israeli side salads with pickles
- Turkish coffee
The brunch menu is available Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The items included in the weekend brunch are also offered daily on the restaurant’s regular menu, along with a wider selection of hummus dishes, sabich (roasted eggplant pita sandwiches) and salad. The menu is also gluten-free and vegan-friendly.
