Several representatives of the Jewish Federation’s Commission on Jewish Life and Learning (CJLL) visited a number of New Jersey Y Camps to better familiarize themselves with the camping experience on Aug. 3. In 2017 the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has already given more than $500,000 in grants to families for children to attend 30 different summer camps throughout across the country.

 


 

The Franklin C. Ash Summer Internship and Lasko College Prep Program concluded with a luncheon and the awarding of certificates at the Jewish Community Services Building on Aug. 2. Sponsored by JEVS Human Services, during the six-week program participants performed various mitzvot, worked at nonprofit Jewish organizations and were involved in activities that built a sense of community and mentorship.
