Bonnie-Kay and Bruce S. Marks of Philadelphia announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah S. Marks, to David L. Charny, son of Judith S. Charny and the late Richard B. Charny of Cherry Hill, N.J.
Hannah is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with honors in the liberal arts. She is currently enrolled in the strategic design Master of Business Administration program at Thomas Jefferson University. Hannah is the general manager of UrbanStems.
David is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelors of Arts in psychology. He holds a Master of Science in sport and exercise psychology from Temple University. David currently works as a mental skills coach and personal trainer. He is an advanced doctoral student in clinical psychology at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Hannah is the granddaughter of Peggy and Stanley Goldenberg of Elkins Park and Elizabeth and Edward Marks of Willow Grove. David is the grandson of Helen Schneeberg, the late Myron Schneeberg, Elaine Charny and the late Robert D. Charny.
Sharing the couple’s happiness are siblings Micah and Amy Kagan, Emily and Aaron Marks, Jacob Charny and Adam Charny, along with niece and nephews Molly, Ethan, Levi and Gabriel.
A 2018 summer wedding is planned.
