The Exponent reported that the neo-Nazi group National Socialist Movement planned a rally in Valley Forge National Historical Park on Sept. 25, which was Yom Kippur that year. The group said it was organizing against illegal non-white immigrants and mentioned bringing home troops from “Israeli-led Zionist wars over oil, greed and lies.”
A park superintendent said rally organizers contended in their permit request that 200 to 300 people were expected, although that number was considered suspect.
The superintendent was right: A follow-up article said only 50 people showed up.
