On Fri., May 5, the Jewish Federation Real Estate group (JFRE) held its sixth annual Legends and Leaders at this year’s new venue, the Crystal Tea Room. With 600 registrants, it was the largest Legends and Leaders ever. Real estate professionals spent the morning networking and learning about the hottest industry trends from many of real estate’s most brilliant minds: David J. Adelman, Dean S. Adler, Jeffrey Brown, Ron Caplan, Allan Domb, Bruce Goodman, Richard J. Green, Bradley J. Korman, Steven Korman, Paul Levy, Michael Markman, Ron Rubin, Bruce Toll and Joseph Zuritsky. The day also marked Jeff Bartos’ final event as JFRE chair, and the crowd welcomed Michael Markman as JFRE’s new chair.
The event was also an opportunity to celebrate JFRE members’ philanthropy. This year JFRE is providing $476,793 in funding to 13 capital projects locally and in Israel that address special needs, food insecurity, mobile services for vulnerable populations, home repairs, youth at risk or the Israel Defense Forces; this marks JFRE’s largest amount of annual funding to date.
JFRE is especially grateful to the corporate partners who provided a record-breaking $351,000 in sponsorship to ensure more Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia funding can go directly to supportive services.
