Sharon Benoff of Shir Ami in Newtown is among four leaders of the Union for Reform Judaism (UJR) named to its North American board of trustees. A member of Women of Reform Judaism’s board of directors since 2003, she’s held several leadership roles in addition to serving on Shir Ami’s executive committee. She owns the online travel company Vacationeeze.
Among the other organizations she’s belonged to are the Jewish National Fund, Hadassah, ORT International, ARZA, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, National Museum of American Jewish History, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
