More than 100 Jewish college students from seven local universities participated in the Chabad on Campus Delaware Valley Shabbaton in Atlantic City on Feb. 24 and 25. Students from Drexel University, Rowan University, Stockton University, The College of New Jersey, Temple University, The University of the Arts and the University of Delaware joined for an experience that featured festive meals, beginners’ prayers services, world-renowned teachers and speakers, educational and entertaining workshops and a musical, candlelit Havdalah service.

Sponsored by Chabad on Campus International, the theme for the weekend was Israel advocacy and fighting anti-Semitism on campus. That included workshops given by Laibel Mangel, a former soldier in the Israel Defense Forces, and current krav maga instructor. Rabbi Mordechai Dinerman served as scholar-in-residence.
