In recognition of the children lost in the Holocaust, students at Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy dedicated the Butterfly Project, a collaborative effort between last year’s class presidents, Jacob Stein and David Gordon, and the members of this year’s HEAR CLUB. Every student in the school painted a butterfly starting on the first floor and going up all three flights of the main stairwell. A framed version of the poem “I Never Saw Another Butterfly,” written by a child murdered at Auschwitz, hangs in the middle with the dedication.
