The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Estate Planners Advisory Committee will once again offer an excellent way for local professionals to stay on the cutting edge of estate planning.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Estate Planners Advisory Committee will once again offer an excellent way for local professionals to stay on the cutting edge of estate planning. Now in its 21st year, the Solomon and Sylvia Bronstein Seminar will feature expert David A. Handler, Esq., of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, who will discuss contemporary estate planning income tax issues.  He will specifically address the importance of basis planning and share techniques for preserving step-up in basis through the estate marital trust and planning with disregarded entities.
The seminar will also feature the presentation of the Edward N. Polisher Award to Lawrence S. Chane, Esq., who chairs the Tax, Benefits and Private Client Practice Group at BlankRome LLP. Chane is being honored for his distinguished service to the Jewish Federation’s endowment programs.
The seminar is being held on Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Hyatt at the Bellevue, 200 South Broad St. The $75 couvert includes a dairy breakfast, the seminar and materials. Continuing education credits are available. Please register online at jewishphilly.org/bronstein by Aug. 26.
