Area teacher Rachel Isenberg received the Page and William Black Humanitarian Award at the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation annual Bal du Printemps gala in New York City.

Area teacher Rachel Isenberg received the Page and William Black Humanitarian Award at the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation annual Bal du Printemps gala in New York City. Since 2010, she has raised nearly $27,000 for the foundation in honor of her mother, who lives with the disease. Willie Geist, co-host of NBC’s Today and of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, served as master of ceremonies at the event, which raised more than $400,000.
