This year for the first time, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia is bringing together our community at multiple locations across the area to honor Israel’s Independence Day, Yom Ha’atzmaut. There will be tons of activities and programs to choose from, whether it is one event or all of them. Most are open to all ages and offer a terrific way to celebrate Israel’s beauty and importance with your friends, family and fellow community members.
In nearly every corner of Greater Philadelphia — including Bucks County, Bux-Mont, Chester County, Delaware County, the Main Line, the Old York Road corridor and Philadelphia — you can enjoy Israeli-themed activities, such as dancing, eating, LEGO-building, concerts with top musicians, beatboxing, movies and more eating. These amazing events will take place throughout May and even into June.  No matter how you want to celebrate Israel’s 68th, there’s an exciting way for you to say “happy birthday Israel” at a festival or event near you.
