Phil Karter, a shareholder with Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams and Aughtry, will give a CLE seminar before the Montgomery Bar Association on April 26. An expert in tax controversy and tax litigation, he’ll present “Help, My Client Is Being Audited. What Do I Do?” A veteran attorney, Karter’s experience includes litigating federal tax cases in the United States District Courts, the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Federal Claims, as well as in the United States Court of Appeals in multiple circuits. Based on that wealth of experience the Emory University (Ga.) grad, who earned his law degree at University of Wisconsin and an LL.M. at NYU School of Law, has been listed among the leading nationwide tax controversy attorneys by Chambers USA and the Legal 500.
