Philadelphia attorney David H. Marion, National Chancellor of the Tau Epsilon Rho Law Society, presented the Cardozo Award to Abe Foxman, National Director Emeritus of the Anti-Defamation League, at Tau Epsilon Rho’s 95th annual convention in Naples, Fla. Marion, currently a partner with Archer & Greiner, is a former Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association. The award was in recognition for Foxman’s years of service with the ADL, battling anti-Semitism, bigotry, hatred and bullying of all kinds.

Ellen Tilman, director of Library Services at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park, is one of six people chosen to serve on the selection committee for the annual Sydney Taylor Book Award. The award, created in 1968 and given in recognition to the children’s book which best portrays the Jewish experience, will next be presented in January 2017.
Tilman will assume chairmanship of the committee at the Association of Jewish Libraries annual June conference. The award is named in honor of Taylor, the author of the One of a Kind family series of books.
