Are you still looking for something you and your kids can do while making a difference in the Jewish community?

The weekend’s coming. Are you still looking for something you and your kids can do? The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Super Sunday phon-a-thon is a great way to stay close to your family, while making a difference in the Jewish community.

From 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., this Sunday, February 21st, at the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr, you will have the opportunity to call fellow members of our Jewish community to raise money to address the community’s most vital needs. From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., there will be child care for children 3 and under and programming for children 4 and over, including:

·      Art projects and games

·      Cookie decorating

·      Lots of Legos, including Star Wars Legos

·      A parachute

·      Relay races – complete with prizes

·      A special program being offered by Jewish children’s programming experts JKidPhilly

·      entitled “Little Hands Make a Big Difference” from 11:00 a.m. to noon

·      A magician at 3:00 p.m.

Parents, rest assured that while you are performing a mitzvah, your children will not only be well taken care of; they’ll be having fun and possibly even making new friends.

Families are also invited to eat together on Sunday, as delicious kosher meals and snacks will be served throughout the day. Additionally, you can spend time at the Community Showcase from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and learn more about local Jewish communal organizations.

If your family wants to get a jump start on Super Sunday, you can begin helping friendraise and fundraise via social media right now and win a personalized mini-mission to see Jewish Federation funds in action. Go to firstgiving.com/jfgp/supersunday for details and to get started.

Pre-registration is now closed for Super Sunday, but walk-ins are welcome at both Super Sunday locations: Barrack Hebrew Academy from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (272. S. Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010) and the satellite location at Shir Ami from 9:00 a.m. to noon (101 Richboro Newtown Road, Newtown, PA 18940).
