A total of 40 people showed up for Michael’s Project: Baseball Bonanza, and others supported the event through donations. To date, Michael, son of local JNF donor Matthew Comisky, has raised $16,900 for Jewish National Fund’s Project: Baseball, which is focused on building state-of-the-art baseball and softball fields throughout Israel while also supporting and teaching baseball and softball to Israeli youth. Throughout the event, there were multiple skills competitions, run by former MLB pitcher Pete Filson, trivia quizzes and games of chance. There was also an auction to which many MLB players contributed, including former Phillie Jimmy Rollins.
