Calling all activists! The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia invites you to journey to the state capital on the Women’s Philanthropy Day Trip to Harrisburg.
The trip, chaired by Sharon Klazmer and Jill Zipin, will depart on Tuesday, Nov.17, at 7:30 a.m. from the Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel for a fun and informative day of lobbying and learning. Upon entering the Pennsylvania State Capitol, the group will be greeted by Lt. Gov. Mike Stack.
Participants will discuss and advocate on issues important to our Jewish community with state officials including Secretary of Human Services Ted Dallas, Sen. Daylin Leach and Sen. Lloyd Smucker. They will also enjoy a special lunch meeting with either Dr. Rachel Levine, Pennsylvania’s Physician General, or Leslie Richards, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and a tour of the beautiful and historic Capitol building.
The cost of the day trip is $75 per person and includes round-trip coach bus transportation and lunch. Participants will arrive back at the Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel by 5 p.m. Meetings and speakers are subject to change. For more information or to register, visit jewishphilly.org/
