The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Center for Israel and Overseas is now accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Israel Cultural Grant Program.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Center for Israel and Overseas is now accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Israel Cultural Grant Program.
The Center for Israel and Overseas’ mission is to embrace the notion of K’lal Yisrael — we are one people — by connecting our local community with Jews in Israel and around the world, and by advocating and providing high-impact support for Israel and for Jews in need globally. The grant program was developed to create opportunities for connections between members of Greater Philadelphia’s Jewish community and Israel.
“Israel cultural grants are a wonderful way of encouraging Israel programs to take place throughout our community,” says Jeri Zimmerman, Director of the Jewish Federation’s Center for Israel and Overseas. “We hope they help inspire synagogues and organizations to bring creative Israel engagement opportunities to their neighborhoods.”
Synagogues and organizations in Greater Philadelphia can apply for as much as $3,000 for programs that promote Israeli culture, are creative and engaging and demonstrate artistic, educational and/or cultural value for the community. Requests must come from a 501(c)(3) organization or from an individual or organization that has fiscal sponsorship from a 501(c)(3) organization. Programs may be single events or part of a larger series or initiative.
The application is available at jewishphilly.org/israelculturegrant. Grant requests must be submitted by Thursday, September 10, 2015.
